An hour of London traffic is an hour you arrive from, not an hour you arrive after.

The cars for this

See the whole fleet

4 doors · 5 seats

Built around the back seat. Long, quiet, and the obvious choice when someone else is driving - a meeting across town, or in from Heathrow with a boot of cases.

4 doors · 5 seats

At the top of the S-Class range: four doors, five seats, automatic. Bought for the back seat rather than the driving seat, on airport runs and long motorway legs.

4 doors · 4 seats

Built to be sat in the back of: a long saloon, quiet because it is electric, with the rear bench the point of the car rather than an afterthought.

4 doors · 7 seats

The long car in its higher specification, chosen for the back seat rather than the driving seat. Diesel and automatic, and the answer when someone is being met at an airport.

5 doors · 8 seats

A diesel people carrier with sliding doors on both sides and seats for seven or eight. The usual job is an airport run, where the luggage matters as much as the seats.

Good to know

These are the questions that come up before a first booking.

Anything else, call +44 207 046 0048. A person picks up, 06:00 to 23:00, Monday to Saturday.

Chauffeur hire from Season Car Rental includes the vehicle, a vetted and uniformed driver, and the waiting and parking inside the hours you book. VAT, mileage and comprehensive insurance are in the quoted figure, and there is no delivery charge anywhere in London. The driver is a separate line from the car, so you can see both.

Either. Season Car Rental quotes the driver per day on top of the vehicle, and half days and hourly work are quoted the same way. Longer bookings move down the rate bands, so a week is not seven times a day. Nothing is added afterwards: no fuel surcharge, no delivery charge inside London, no VAT on top.

The driver parks somewhere legal nearby and comes back when you call. Waiting is part of the day you booked rather than something charged by the minute, and your luggage stays in the car between stops. On a red route the car waits round the corner instead of outside the door, which is why we ask for the addresses in advance.

Often, but not always — the constraint is drivers rather than cars. Ring Season Car Rental on 0207 046 0048 rather than emailing if it is for today or tomorrow, and whoever answers can see the rota. The phone is answered Monday to Saturday, 06:00 to 23:00; Sunday is by appointment.

Usually, and it is worth asking for when you book rather than on the Tuesday. A driver who has already done your Monday knows the entrances, the parking and how long your meetings really take, which is most of what makes the second day quicker than the first. Continuity is scheduled where the rota allows it.

Most of the fleet is available self-drive, and a chauffeur is an addition you choose — weddings are the exception and are chauffeur-driven as standard. Self-drive carries an eligibility rule: 25 to 70 with a full licence held three years for most cars, and 30 to 70 with five years for supercars and premium luxury. With a driver in front, neither tier applies to you.
